Cookie Policy

The website uses browser storage for visit measurement, your analytics preference, and approved account sign-in.

Draft updated:

On the public HTTPS domain, the analytics tracker sets a first-party cookie named _ra_uid. It contains a random identifier and the date of the latest visit. Its one-year expiry is renewed when the tracker runs. The tracker uses it in the browser to distinguish a new visitor and a new day’s visit.

Page views and selected button or link interactions go to the Rumeira analytics service through this website. Events include page paths, referring website, screen-size category, and interaction labels; the server also forwards technical request metadata and hosting-provided country. The tracker does not read form entries, and the current website has no advertising pixel.

The tracker does not run on localhost or Vercel preview domains. These descriptions concern this site’s tracker; hosting and sign-in providers also process requests as described in the Privacy Policy.

Turn analytics off in this browser

Use “Turn analytics off” below to store _ra_ignore=1 in local storage. On the public domain, the tracker checks that preference before setting its visit cookie or sending events. The preference remains until you clear site storage or turn analytics back on. Apply it separately in each browser you use.

You can also delete or block the _ra_uid cookie in your browser settings. Deleting or blocking that cookie alone does not stop page-view or click requests, and the cookie can be recreated on a later visit unless the tracker is opted out. Opting out does not remove events already processed.

Sign-in session storage

Firebase Authentication uses browser session storage to keep an approved account signed in during the session. This supports authenticated member and staff requests. Signing out clears the application’s sign-in state; closing the relevant browser session normally clears session storage as well.

Blocking required browser storage can prevent account features from working. The public directory and educational resources do not require you to sign in.

Storage and service changes

This policy describes the current website build. Review the Privacy Policy for the public/private listing distinction and service providers. Storage disclosures will need to change if new account providers, advertising, or other measurement tools are introduced.
