About this notice
NDPIA is the National Directory of Public Insurance Adjusters website, operated by Asolace LLC through Rumeira, based in New York City, New York, United States. This notice covers the directory, educational pages, and approved member and staff accounts. It does not cover the independent businesses listed in the directory or websites you reach through their links.
You can browse the public directory and resources without an account. The website does not accept insurance claim files or collect payments. Please do not submit policy numbers, claim documents, financial records, or other sensitive information.
Public business listings
Directory records may contain a business or professional name, description, service areas, claim categories, website, public business contact details, and a business logo or professional image. Information may come from the business’s own public website or an authorized representative.
Staff-approved listing details are visible to anyone and may be indexed by search engines. Private editing drafts, account ownership, membership records, source-review records, and staff audit records are not included in the public listing. Submitting an edit does not publish it automatically.
Accounts and listing management
Approved accounts use Google Firebase Authentication. Google processes the email address, password credentials, and technical information needed for sign-in and account security. The website uses the account identifier and authorization status to decide which private records you may access.
Cloud Firestore stores listing records, membership status and expiry, listing ownership, edit history metadata, publication actions, and source-review information. Authorized staff use this information to administer the directory and investigate changes. Active members may access their assigned listings; signing in alone does not grant membership or editing permission.
The browser keeps Firebase sign-in state in session storage. Use Sign out when you finish on a shared device. Closing the relevant browser session normally clears this sign-in state; browser restoration settings can affect session behavior.
Searches, hosting, and security
Vercel hosts the website and its server endpoints. Requests can include your IP address, browser information, requested address, and technical error or security information needed to deliver and protect the service. Search terms appear in the directory URL, so do not enter sensitive information into search fields.
For ZIP searches, the website server sends the five-digit ZIP code to Zippopotam.us to look up associated places and states using GeoNames data. It does not forward your account details, cookies, or IP address to that lookup service. Lookup results may be temporarily cached by the website server.
Website usage measurement
On the public HTTPS domain, the website uses a first-party cookie to distinguish new visits and returning visits. It sends page views and selected button or link interactions to the Rumeira analytics service through a website server endpoint. This includes page paths, referring website, screen-size category, and interaction labels. Technical request metadata, such as the page address, browser user agent, and country supplied by the hosting service, is forwarded to the collector.
The analytics tracker does not read form entries or send your account identifier or password. The current website has no advertising pixel. Blocking the analytics cookie alone does not stop all analytics requests; use the opt-out link in the Cookie Policy to stop the tracker in your browser.
Inquiries and service providers
The contact page shows whether online inquiries are available. When enabled, its form sends your name, email address, selected topic, and message through Resend to the designated NDPIA mailbox. Your email address is included so the recipient can reply. The form does not upload attachments or create a public listing.
Website information is processed by the providers described above to deliver hosting, account access, directory storage, location lookup, email delivery when enabled, and analytics. A provider’s own notices explain its separate processing. Following a business or resource link takes you to a service with its own information practices.
Retention and security
Public listings remain available until staff update or remove them. Closing or disabling an account does not automatically remove a business listing. Private records and audit history are retained separately to administer access and review changes; the current application does not automatically erase them after a fixed period.
Access controls separate private records from published information, and staff publication controls what becomes public. No online service can promise absolute security. Provider logs, backups, and deletion processing can have different lifecycles from the visible website records.
Your choices and requests
You can browse without signing in, sign out of an account, and use the Cookie Policy controls to stop analytics in a browser. An approved member can propose changes to an assigned listing for staff review.
Privacy rights depend on the laws that apply to you and the website operator. The contact page shows the current availability of inquiries about access, corrections, or removal. Online inquiries are not yet open. No automated account-deletion or listing-removal form is currently provided.
This website is intended for property owners and insurance professionals, rather than services directed to children. This notice will be updated when the information practices or available services change.
